i have an old AEG "Vampyr" vacuum cleaner (I think a model 408) and one of the wheels has broken. The wheel has a stub axle which presses into a socket in the body, where sprung "teeth" on the axle engage in a groove in the socket. It is long discontinued and parts no longer available.
I am trying to think of a way to repair it. all the teeth have broken off the stub now.
Some other makes might have a similar wheel, the wheel is about three and a half inches across and the "axle" is 20mm (about three quarters of an inch). The wheels on a Karcher pressure washer look like they may be similar.
Any ideas?
