when it calls itself a holiday club.

be aware this is a scandal, designed to circumnavigate EU law, with regard to the cooling off period when entering into a timeshare contract.

the hook can come in several forms, a scratchcard, or an introductory meeting when you arrive at your package holiday destinantion.

the request is usually along the lines of, please be paid to visit our new hotel and tell us what you think of it?

Cyprus is rife with this scandal.

A good mate of mine has been caught out by these scams twice over the past 10 years. He is normally very sensible reliable chap but for some reason cannot see the scam elements.

He has lost a fair few thousands over the years and still is a member of a points club which sells holidays dearer than any travel agent.

He has a password linking to "incrediably cheap luxury holidays", which when you add up all the fees is more pricey than a stay at a 6 star Dubai hotel.

Now Jonathon Palmer...... there's a clever little crook!
