Does anyone know?

They must be available! All I can find is 15cm high. Would I need to go to a reclamation yard or the like?

I've set my heart on them!

Try a local joinery, they will be able to provide some or even make some bespoke ones for you.

If you take a section though most older style skirting boards of over 150mm high you will discover that they are made up of more than one piece. This is because the wider the board the more it will tend to move and it was more economical to machine smaller sections.
Try to design a skirting made of 2 or 3 pieces. Look in the timber merchants to see whats available then link the pieces together by rebating together or fixing one piece on top of the other. You could start by fixing strips of ply (more stable) on the wall first then nail a rebated section on top and a simple bead to the bottom. Merchants are a bit limited, but like most things, anything out of the ordinary costs loads to get machined up. Dont forget to paint the back of the skirting before fixing to reduce distortion.
