Hi,
I have recently (2 months ago) had a B&Q oak worktop fitted which has been treated with Speedstone Ultra Worksurface Sealant. It looks great but my problem is that it is recommended to reaply every three months and I cant find it anywhere.
I have been to B&Q who don't stock it, they only sell the worktops and the installation kits. I was told that the only way to get it was to buy another installation kit every three months at a cost of £50 a throw which I find to be a tad unreasonable.
My questions are:
Where can I get some of this stuff without having to buy the complete kit?
Does anyone know what it is and if there are any compatible alternatives?

Thanks

I must say that I always thought that Speedstone only did granite laminate worktops.......

Is this "sealant" a straw-coloured oily fluid with a distinctive arome? Also are the istructioons to wipe on, leave only a few minutes then wipe off? If so then it's nothing more than an oil finish and either Danish Oil or Tung Oil will do the job. A litre of that costs a lot less than £50

Scrit
