Where have Gcol and Jefoss gone?

For years they've been banging on about using ply in preference to backer boards. They even got me suspended from the forum for disagreeing - and now they've done a runner. Anyone know why?

If you haven't yet read the reason I no longer post in the tiling forum, it is at the top of the tiling sticky. Noseall and Thermo are quite correct in their thinking.
