Where / How do you buy rebar??

I need a piece of rebar mesh approx 10ft x 4ft - it's for a concrete base that I am building. Where can the DIYer obtain this and how do you get the size you want? I live near Manchester, so have access to the usual outlets.

any builders merchant, not a diy shed. best get it delivered though, its normally 3.6m x 2.4m (i think!)

Thanks - are you saying that you can only buy the one standard size?

yes, easily cut with bolt croppers or an angle grinder though

It comes in 8ft x 16ft and as thermo said 10mm or under is any easy chop for decent bolt cutters

Standard sizes ex-stock at most merchants I use are A142 and A252 @ 3.6m*2.0m.
