If you were in the market to buy an average kitchen, to fit yourself, where would you go for the best value?
Howdens, Magnets, B&Q, Wickes???

Howdens will only sell to a registered trade, I think. I've installed basic wickes kitchens for a rental property. I'd avoid the cheapo basic units as they don't last long. Might be worth trying to source a local proper manufacturer of units and see if they'd be willing to sell direct.

I'm a registered trade so I'll give them a look. Thanks for the advice mate. Appreciated.

Our Howden's kitchen seems a pretty good quality and has stood the test of time in our busy family home since installation about 7 years ago. The only disappointing element has been the worktop which scratched and sun bleached far too easily. Wish we'd have gone for granite or some type of composite.

I got Howdens to come round and measure up for a 8mx3m kitchen, 8 days later I finally got the design with piccies and no money info so I requested it and got a email back straight away saying they were working on the quote. That was 4 days ago. Not going to chase them.

Will be ordering from diykitchens this week as I've got a 10% code to use by the 9th.

Quite pleased to see worktop express have 10% off this month also and I'll have a rummage around on quidco to save some money on the appliances too!
