where to buy fenching wire in London?

anyone know where I can buy fencing wire and a couple of strainers in SE London? I've checked in some of the large DIY places and they look at me like I'm mad . . . .

i did use green mesh fence and green wire, jut took it to the till and paid for it, B & Q

I know the feeling.... Walk into many of the DIY 'sheds' and say 'Good Morning' to one of the staff, and they start to think you've asked a trick question. Then they start panicing, and looking for their manager and security staff to confirm how they should deal with such a blatant attempt to elicit a verbal response. It would be funny if it wasn't true

You might have a bit more luck at a garden centre, ore somewhere like Scats.
