Hello,
Wish I'd have thought of this before I poured the footings!
Wanting to replace my water mains as we're on a galvanised 15mm system. But the position that I'd like to bring the ducting up goes straight through (or under) the footings for the front of the garage.
Can I go under the new footings at 1m depth (left of photo) and come out behind them or am I asking for trouble? The footings support a small section of wall that forms the front of the garage door opening.
Would also mean that I'm right alongside the house footings aswell, they're on red clay and from the 1950s so not very deep.
I've uploaded a photo of the setup before I poured the footings. The original pipe is only a foot or so under the surface. If I go around the footings it means I'll be in the garage door opening.
Thanks
