I'm removing old kitchen units and the tiles - this is the result so far:

Various layers of looser plaster and wallpaper. Should I remove all loose plaster and the wallpaper, then PVA it all and re-plaster over the top to a level finish? (Eventually, I want to paint it and tile a splashback.)

Then there's this - I've removed a breeze block airing cupboard:

Need advice on best way of repairing the wall and reinstating left hand side of the doorframe.

Cheers!

Correct on the first one. Remove loose plaster and papper. Pva and re plaster.

Second one. Screw or nail metal angle beads and then plaster. Patch up with mortar. 4 of sand to 1 of cement. add washing up liquid to help make it workable.

The alternative is to put plasterboard over it by using plasterboard adhesive.
Either way when its dry skim over it with finishing or something similar. You won't believe how easy it is to do the whole job.
