I have a faulty vent axia 100m fan which needs to be replaced and has a continuous power feed. The fan is for a rental flat therefore I am not keen on a pull cord type, instead wish to install one with a humidity sensor.

Are there any other brand which provide good longevity on fans instead of Vent Axia?

Solar & Palau are particularly good quality. They have a ball-bearing motor mounted on rubber pads so are durable and quiet. They also own the Envirovent brand and sometimes the same product can be cheaper with a different label.

Because they are so quiet they are not a nuisance if wired to come on automatically and continue long enough to dry the room. Electricity usage is negligible.

Does your current extractor go straight through the wall, or is there a duct, for example in the ceiling?

Thanks, I could not find the model, any you would recommend...?

No duct goes straight through the wall
