I am thinking of installing a CCTV security system using a DVR. I saw a system at a friends house last week that revolved around an AVTech DVR system and two dome cameras. The system looked ok until you got close up to the screen, and then you realised the images were quite grainy, also when you clicked on the control panel there was about a 4 second delay from pressing a function button (say rewind) and the request being carried out.
The system was connected to a computer monitor which may explain the grainy image, but I would appreciate any views, or recommendations on what to get. I personally would be frustrated waiting for the commands to be followed when using features within the software - is this the norm, as 4 seconds is quite a long time to wait?
