Hi guys, just wanted your opinion on behalf of my computer illiterate parents.

They have been given 3 quotes for a new central heating system and each offering a different boiler. The choices are:

#Ideal Logic Plus 35
#Baxi Platinum
#A Valiant boiler-of which they don't know the model yet but is a compact one size wise.

Opinions please?

Out of those 3 go with the vaillant !! The Ideal may well prove to be a decent boiler BUT Ideals track record of dumping boilers onto the market that are probably only fit for the nearest skip , would not give me any confidence in there products ! numerous installers have had there reps damaged by Ideal boilers !!!!!!!!

Baxi I dunno ??

the baxi is a decent boiler
vaillant generally regarded as better make but will probably cost more

Vaillant, Baxi or Worcester (i know it wasn't mentioned lol)

worcester and vaillant are the best in most engineers opinion! after that i personally would go ideal before baxi! however i make a lot of money fixing baxi boilers throughout the year so maybe i should say baxi top of the pile ( because you will need it repairing within 5 yrs)

personally i would always say worcester but i am looking through worcester tinted glasses as i put a lot of their boilers in and get no probs up to 5 years on!
