Hello group, just ordering some new parts for a soil stack, can anyone advise which bends I should use to dog leg the top of the stack around the guttering so I can vent it off at a safe height, is it x2 135 degrees, or x2 offset bends?
Regards
Otto

PS: - Ordering from Screwfix as they seem to be the cheapest...

Two 45 degree bends looks best.

However, going straight through the soffit via a lead slate looks even better.

I use the 135 degree's, although no hard and fast rules. (Other angles are available!)

Screwfix sell a 'top offset' and 'bottom offset' bend for this purpose, you solvent weld the 45deg section each end so it all holds in place. (The ring seal versions can move in the wind, you may find the top section pointing downwards after a gale otherwise!) Line it up square and mark it before gluing, you dont get a second chance once its glued if it isnt straight!

It depends on the width of the soffit and gutter.

The soffit may, or may not be deep enough to allow the stack to penetrate the roof.

A pair of offset bends may or may not be enough to clear the gutter.

A pair of 135 degree bends with a straight section between may or may not project uncomfortably far.

I've ordered the off sets, its just a regular gutter & eaves, doesn't protude that much. New stack is going just to the right of the window in the picture. The good thing with screwfix is, you can send the goods back for free and get a refund.
