Which design software?

Hello

I will be doing a lot of landscaping work in the garden next spring. I want to spend a few months over winter playing with designs on the PC before starting the work.

Has anyone tried any of the landscape / garden design software packages? If so which ones and are they any good?

i do all my designs to scale by hand. unless you want to spend thousands they are all pretty useless or americanised to be any good.

Totally agree. I have never found any good garden design software. Much better doing it on paper, though perhaps not as much fun.

Whenever we employ the services of a landscape architect its nearly always hand drawn.
