About to start tiling bathroom. We've got ceramic floor and wall tiles but which do we do first? What is the best adhesive to use to secure ceramic floor tiles to a wooden floor and what size spacers should I use? I would appreciate any advise.

I would start on the walls in case you drop anything on the floor. Use 2mm
spacers. I find the type that resemble little drinking straws best, the cross type often show if you leave them insitu.

For the floor use a flexible adhesive designed for that purpose. Grout gaps usually about 3 to 5mm depending on tiles sizes. Here you will have to use the cross type spacers, I use them as above and remove them before grouting.

Use all waterproof grouts and adhesives. Non slip(adhesive) is easier on the walls it is better for coming downwards or upsidedown around windows.

If you do a search there is plenty of advice on laying tiles.

BTW you would normally cover any floor boards with plywood first.
