I have a 1930's house and the kitchen is to be re-fitted next month. I have floor boards (in good firm condition) and can't decide what flooring to have on top of these. I often wear high heeled shoes. I have a dog, two cats and three kids. What floorcovering is most practical...and not too difficult to lay please? Any members personal experience (positive or negative) on the subject is welcomed!

Wood-Engineered flooring (Oak) preferbly oiled will do the trick for a long time.
(You don't walk in kitchens, you 'shuffle' more: from fridge to cooker, from cooker to sink, from cupboard to sink, from sink to cupboard etc etc etc.)
See my profile for our website if you need more info on why wood-engineered and why an oiled finish.
