Hi all,
I am currently renovating a 200year old stone terrace and have 2no. fireplaces in one open plan room that I want to put new hearth stone in. They were disgracefully plastered over and fitted with 60s gas fires!
As we are spending a lot of time and money on this project I want to do it right but save money at the same time.
My question is, I am putting a Tiger wood burning stove into one of the fires. What material should I sit it on?
Pigmented concrete slabs to look like stone. £13 each.
Stone and slate £100 each!
Any advice would be useful
