Hello,

I am soon to be putting in an upstairs shower room. I have a combi boiler so was advised to just have a mixer shower put in but when the plumber checked it out he said get an electric one as the pressure is crap. I have just bought a Triton shower which was down from £120 to £50 but am now worried that it may be useless and I should have bought a more expensive one. What do you get for your money? I am on a budget but don't want to end up with a cheap useless one!

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Do you mean you have bought a Triton electric shower, or a mixer shower?

If you haven't the pressure for a mixer to work off the combi I would be suspect of having enough cold mains pressure for an electric one.

I have bought an electric one. I was under the impression that the electric shower has some sort of pump to overcome the pressure problem?? Am I wrong?

bring it back, it is the wrong one.
electric showers don't work with combis
if you are on a budget, just get a decent mixer and forget the thermostat, a good one will set you back about two ton
