Can someone name this spindle or the supplier for it please? I need one to replace the missing one. Ideally from a local DIY shed..

Thanks in advance.

i think you will struggle as that looks greater than 1000mm so greater than spindle length
perhaps 32mm or whatever square section painted to match wont look too odd next to the square newel

90cm and 110cm are standard.

yes indeed you can
its more i was suggesting when they got to the last one that was the point they thought oooosh1t its too short [more than 1100mm]and just fill in string cap and handrail with filler
iff you look at the previous one it looks very imbalanced [used 900mm spindles]and top-heavy suggesting a bit planted on the top and a further added bit on the last one would not only make weaker although not in a vulnerable place would look even more excessive and odd

I’ve now sourced a 1100mm spindle.
My plan is to put it flat across the top and then draw a line to capture the angle for the bottom cut. Let me know if I’m missing anything here.

Should I then use my nailer or screws at an angle?

you nail into the wedge end with small nails
drill a hole say 2mm for a 2.2mm nail so it loosly grips get the point about 1mm out push into position so the first tap off the hammer locates the nail so the spindle wont slide with hammer blows
the angle will about 42% not 45
