I am relaying old floorboards (18mm thick) onto a newly laid underfloor heating installation (Heat emission plate type).
I would like to keep buildup to a minimum. Is 12mm ply (not t+g ) suitable as the boards themselves can span the joists in any case or should I still use 18mm t+g chipboard?
Do I have to keep the ply or chipboard on site for 48hours prior to laying to acclimatise?
Look forward to any responses so i can start worrying about something else!
many thanks
Duncan
