I have always rather liked the design of the Hotpoint models with the motor at the top where they are unaffected by any water leaks.

I need to buy a new one now and notice the Hoover is about £40 cheaper than the Hotpoint WD440 or similar models.

The Hotpoint seems to get the usual bad press but is the Hoover any better?

In any case why do people bad mouth the WD440 ?

Tony

PS This is for a tennanted property so I am looking for a £300 machine!

if its for a tement do your self a favour get separates and a stacking kit.

w/d by design are rubbish.

you can't dry what you just washed
you cant wash while drying
one wrong can't use the other (some times)
More to go wrong in the first place

And suppose they do not have the room, even if they do use a stacking kit!

Whilst the house is quite large the whole concept is to have a neat kitchen equipped to a high standard. that means a washer dryer!

Back to the original question!

Why do people rubish the WD440 ?

Whats wrong with the even cheaper Hoover W/D unit?

Where are the people who earn their living fixing them?
