Re-doing the waste pipe in my bathroom (sink & bath) and just about to put an order in at screfix, but wondering what is considered the best type to use?

I have used push fit before, and the stuff that is already there is uni-compression.

Some of it, possibly all of it, will be going under the floor - is there are preferred type bearing this in mind?

Thanks :)

Always solvent weld - always use cleaner first and don't overdo the solvent (or it partially blocks the pipe)

OK thanks, I did think that solvent weld would be preferred underfloor. Above floor push fit? Looks neatest to me.

can't see how the bigger and bulkier 'push fit' can look neater than solvent weld

Well, no, you're right there, but solvent weld isn't any good if you need to change anything or add to it, or at least not as easy as a push fit/compression system. But I agree it looks neater and isn't going to leak!

Oh, and incidentally I may be taking some of my 110mm WC waste under the floor, can you get solvent weld in that size?
