Hi,
I have a Whirlpool 7650/1 which has shown error 5 a few times but I haven't been able to find any blockages and I seems that the circulation pump wasn't even trying to start. When I opened up the pump, I couldn't see anything blocking it but just putting all back together again has "fixed" it twice. I guess there is a problem with the connections to the pump or within the pump itself. It's less than two weeks since I last took it apart and it's failed again so I don't want to waste my time just giving it another prod.
I've seen recommendations for using a service like www.repaircare.co.uk which seems sensible if it's the circulation pump but I'd like to be more confident about the problem before calling them out. £125 is a lot of money if it turns out to be something as simple as a power connection needing re-seating. Could anyone suggest any checks I could carry out to confirm a pump issue?
Thank you
J
