Hi - hope you can help me. This is a new dishwasher (gift so no guarantee).

Worked the first time I used it but now when I select any cycle it sounds like it is trying to let the water in - but nothing actually makes it into the machine. About 1-2 minutes into any cycle it beeps continuously and the start button flashes (indicating a fault) and the rinse button is lit. If you reset and try again it does the same thing.

Made sure it is level, no kinks in hose, water is turned on!

Any ideas please? Thanks for your help.

Count the flashes between pauses. The number of flashes is the fault code.
If it's a continuous flash the NTC is faulty and you'll probably need an engineer to fix.

Unplug your appliance before working on it.

PS. Even gifts of new appliances have a warranty.

There are 7 flashes between pauses. Hope this helps?

Thanks for your help.

It's a flowmeter problem.
Unplug it, take the left hand panel off and at the bottom front of the plastic water thing you'll see two wire. Uplug these from the tiny circuit board and then put them back on. Try the machine again.
If not cured then next possibility is the pressure switch.
