Whirlpool ADP 4500

I have had this dishwasher for one and a half years and its green operating light is flashing the cycle stops after a few minutes. I have tried unplugging the machine overnight but it is still not running the full cycle the soap dispenser is still shut it is as if it is stuck on a pre rinse - help!

The light should be flashing a code. It will flash a number of times, pause, then repeat. Count the flashes between pauses and post the result here.
If it's flashing continuous with no pauses then that's error code 1. NTC fault.

Thanks for your reply it is flashing three times and then a pause - I do not have the instruction manual (well can't find it) can you help with what to do next? thanks

Error code 3 is a heating problem. Either the tube heater or the main pcb has failed.
