My whirlpool dishwasher (1 year old) won't drain. Any suggestions?

If the motor runs while it trys to drain, I would inspect the drain line for kinks and clogs. Also, your dishwasher may have a check valve screwed into the line that is a common problem for clogging and not draining the water.
