whirlpool washer

my whirlpool washer will not spin out. it aggitates just fine, but i believe that the sensor might need to be replaced for the lid. is there some place that i can go to get the info on line as to what part i need and how to replace?
or a trouble shooting guide to tell me if i am incorrect with my guess.
