I have a whirlpool washing machine which was only just a year old on the 21st December 2012 and the drum has stopped rotating what do I door what could the problem be I really can't go with out my machine and really hoped I would have got longer than a year

Can you open the drum and try spinning it for me please.

Notice any noise ....

Do you know if its belt driven?

I took the back of there and the belt was of it

That's good, it does stretch . You can try puting it back on and see how it goes or just buy a new one.

The belt should not have stretched already, check the tensioning idler rolls are free to turn while you are there.

It has now started to make a funny rattling sound what do I do now
