Hello there!

Aforementioned Whirpool washing machine is occasionally coming to a halt with F.13 error message. t usually happens on the last minute (that takes far longer than _a_ minute!) and fix has been to switch the thing off. Next time all is good again.

Can anybody suggest a potential cause and fix for F.13 error?

The other one is Clean Pump. The old pump got stuck (full of gunk) and had to get a new one. Cleaned the whole thing out and first two washes were fine. Tonight the machine got stuck half just before Rinse, didn't spin or anything. Tried to restart the machine and still no luck. Could it be the drain hose that needs to go to pressure wash?

Any advice appreciated!

Hi Carl,

No problems with opening the door as far as I could tell. When F.13 message is displayed and I turn the washer off, it takes about 3-4 minutes for the door to unlock.

Is there a sensor that regulates this?

Thanks!

Hi taavisepp,

Having done a bit more research, whirlpool state F13 is a Dispenser Circuit Error

F/13

Dispenser Circuit Error
If the dispenser motor is not able to be driven to it’s proper position.
Potential Causes
• Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
• Check Wire Harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check Dispenser Motor http://applianceassistant.com/repair/DuetWasherRepairGude-Part-Testing.php#motor

A visit to local car wash with removed hoses revealed a could of years worth of gunk from those. So the second issue was nearly resolved. However need to take care when committing to any such activity as pressure wash can rip the hose apart or cause damage to its inner walls. I've ordered a spare from espares to ensure clean drain hose at £5 fro 1.5m.

On the first re error message, I found a list of common error codes and explanations when googling (source: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/...hirlpool-eu-washing-machine-fault-codes.html) - perhaps someone will find these useful. Another site for diagnostics is http://applianceassistant.com.
