Hi guys, I posted this on another thread but it seemed to go quiet when I posted the video, so I thought I'd try again, as I'm not sure what to do.

The hot tap on my bath is making this whistling sound when running. I replaced the tap including the valve, and the whistling became louder.

When I turn the hot tap of the sink on at the same time, the sound reduces, as demonstrated in the video...

It's really difficult to get to the pipes under the bath, so I'm really not sure what to do. Is it something to worry about, or will this work itself out?

I'd really appreciate any help. And if anyone is London-based, feel free to DM me and quote on coming to take a look.

Thanks,

Alex

Lime built up inside tap maybe. Causes flow restriction which makes a noise

So I used some pipe cleaners and cleared some hairs out of the drain underneath the tap, and cleaned the tap itself. Now the whistling sound has gone but the tap is running with really low pressure, barely any water comes out at times. Opening the hot tap on the sink affects it, sometimes makes it better, sometimes worse.

Any thoughts?
