Whistling TRVs

On some of my radiators / towel rails the trvs are whistling a very high pitched noise which is really irritating!!! If I move the setting it stops..presumably opens or closes the valve stoping the high pitch noise

Is there anything I can do regarding this? Anything I can put in the water???

about this, new valves was the answer.

you can get them for less than a tenner, its a pain to drain down the system, but fairly simple job..
