Our Whirlpool dishwasher is about 10 years old.
Since filling the salt container with Tesco's salt which is much larger granules than salt we've used before, we get hideous white limescale deposits on everything including the stainless surfaces of the dishwasher. It has got worse and worse with each wash over the past fortnight. Vinegar removes the deposit proving it is limescale.
Any suggestions on how to remove the Tesco salt so I can try another brand. Also is the ion-exchange resin in the machines water softener likely to be dead after 10 years?
We are using the same washer tablets as before- Waitrose Regular (blue and white tablets with no salt)
