White Gloss Paint

Hi Everyone

Over the last few months we have painted our, Bathroom, Hallway and did the wood in gloss white but it has turned a very palie yellow colour. How do we stop this from happening?

Don't use Dulux!

I used waterbased satinwood for this reason but it's not easy to apply. Stays white though

Its not a problem specific to Dulux, ALL OB paint yellows and new 2010 formulations yellowed faster from all the major manufacturers. Dulux blue lid seems ok, i am no fan of Dulux these days but it would be amongst my first choice for OB gloss.

Acrylic/hybrid paints are the way forward though, Johnstones aqua seems about the best for gloss

We had the same problem with dulux gloss. Painted 6 rooms - all yellowing. Contacted dulux and got £150 and a voucher for 2 tins water based gloss and 2 tins emulsion. Don't email them tho cos they'll fob you off with only the vouchers. Phone them then go thru the process of sending them pics etc.
