White Marks on clothes after finished washing????

our washing machine works fine all programs ok
how ever just happened in last 2-3 weeks and mainly on jeans trousers in a small area on leg we seem to get what looks like a white chalk streak marks ( at first it looks like powder but we use liquid all time ) you cant rub it off it seems like faint paint or chalk rubbings? and only on a small part of jeans like 1 thigh leg only??? its very strange any help?

i think its flaking limescale as we do live in a hard water area and suffer bad from lime scale even though we use calgol regulary.
