WHITE WALLS

I have recently moved into a new flat, all the skirting board and architrave around the doors are painted white gloss.

I want the walls white, but it looks too much with the skirting also being white, i have soft beige carpets fitted.

Its too much to remove the skirting and architrave, i intend to sand it all down and paint it a differant colour.

being an enept man i have no idea what colour to paint it, any ideas, nothing too bright though.

I certainly wouldnt get involved in removnig the shirting and architraves..leave them in place and tape up around the edge of the carper with 2 inch masking tape.

You could paint them a similar colour to the walls..which will give you a softer effect between the floor and walls or a total contrast.
