Who can respond to threads? (Ed.)

hello this forum good help a lot and sometimes good advice but i was thinking yesterday what people can reply to threads only pro or anyone which want to help
i know when other people help is good but i want to see if i might be able to help other people i am good at gardening etc i can reply to thread but i want to know if its okay i know there is forums here like plambing and heating and electric etc but these forum i see people same ask question then i say this is good but when i want to i want to check if it okay i dont know what is the rule for this as i am new thank you

Anyone can answer any thread here.
I often say it's not my area of knowledge if i think I can help and post us unanswered. It's also bumps the post back up so others with better knowledge see it and chip in

Wrong, unclear and shoddy advice won't be tolerated. If you find yourself good in any field related to DIY, then I don't see no problem. The advice should be correct though.

God knows what you do for a living but no DIYer will reach the potential of someone working everyday in a trade.

Fun fact, some people trod on here just to talk on the GD and not post anything related to DIY.

If you think you can contribute positively then feel free. If you think you can't then watch and learn.
