Can anybody tell me if a vp3 fire front will definatley fit a 552 baxi back boiler. I want to change the front i have at the minute (which is a different model) to the vp3 and wondered if i could do a straight swap without any other parts? thankyou.

The VP3 will not fit the 552. You need the Bermuda VP3 Renewal GC no. 37~075~04. It is same as Vp3 but modified to fit the 552, as it is a older bermuda design

is that definatley? are they visually different to tell apart? theres one on ebay at the mo item no.180823355895 is this the wrong one?

The fires are visually the same. Its the back boilers that are differant. The fire is made for a newer model BBU. So the 552 needs the adapted version of the fire. They dont manufacture the fires now. But you can still buy them new. Check the gas council numbers. You need 37~075~04. If its the 37~077~62 then its not really made to fit yours

Ignore sloppytom as his info is sloppy a VP3 WILL FIT a 552

There is no such thing as a vp3 stand alone fire . AS a fire it was called the baxi Arena

+1

but you may need a new supply pipe and watch out for overlarge opening esp. at the top where the VP3 case is angled

The VP3 equivallant was the Baroque.
The SP was the Arena.
namsag & Fireman T are correct.The 552 and the VP3 are compatable.
If you can find one still in a box,a new supply pipe should be in amongst the nuts & bolts.

You are right, of course.

Yes, I was assuming he was referring to a 2nd hand one. Newe ones, if you can find one, are stupidly expensive, and were discontinued by Baxi last year.
