wicker baskets?

I have a few wicker baskets I'd like to paint another colour, i think they just have a coat of varnish.

should i use normal paint, or spray paint or something else?

Spray works best something like the Plasticote they sell in DIY stores, surprising how much you get through to get good cover.!

thanks for the reply! I have opted for some graffiti art spray paint as they have a lot more colours.

Once it all arrives and if i dont mess it up ill post some pictures.
