During the winter my Wickes Combi 2000 boiler went in to Overheat Lockout intermittently on both central heating and when the hot tap was turned on and could only be reset by pushing the reset button on the top of the boiler.
I had an engineer out however as it only happened intermittently he was unable to determine the fault and could only suggest turning the gas pressure down which didn't cure the problem.
Now the warmer weather is here the heating has still been coming on in the morning and during the night when its cooler but the boiler has not tripped at all even when the hot tap is turned on.
I don't was to spend vast amounts of money on it by getting loads of parts changed as its 13 years old however any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
