Just installed French door with sides lights from Wickes.

Attempting to reinstall the glass units to the side lights, but cannot get the flaming window side beads to fit.

Instructions asks for the top & bottom first, then the flaming sides.

Any Ideas?

Spray some glass cleaner/ soapy water on the glass first, the back lip of the bead needs to sit into the groove of the frame, some times you need to angle it first to start it off

Still having difficulties to install.

Side trim noted to have some internal damage. This was caused by nylon tape installed by the suppler. You had to pull the tape to fully release trims on the side lights.

See Photo.

The damaged leg on the beads fits into a groove first and then the front knocks down, the damage has occured because while knocking the bead in the leg has jumped out of that groove and crossed over to the outside of it hence you have a bump in the bead and it won't fully seat.

Straighten the damage with a pair of pliers or gently heat with a heat gun, extruded pvc has a memory and will find its original shape

Then have another go :D

Trouble is its wickes, wickes = cheap, cheap = headache
