We are having an internal garage converted into a room and are having a real problem finding a neat solution to the gap between the 2 floorings.
The wall is double skinned and hence pretty thick, the door will be hung on the inside of the room and obviously the new carpet will finish there, we have a wooden floor in the hall which finishes at the old wall and of course will have a 200mm gap to fill.
We have no spare flooring as it is an older one, as it is wood we think a timber threshold may look messy between that and the carpet so any ideas hugely welcome!
