Was out driving today when I was caught in a sudden thunderstorm. It was so bad, with thunder and lightning crashing directly overhead and visibility severely reduced, that I decided to pull over to the side of the road. I'd pulled up outside the local screwfix branch and in the car park was a forklift truck that had been abandoned with its load still on the forks. It contained what looked like rolls of swa cable which had little black caps over the cut ends.
Would these be sufficient to keep out the moisture, bearing in mind the weather was atrocious and lasted a good 20 minutes before it eased off enough to drive again, by which time the road was more like a river.
