Hi,
I currently live in a victorian terrace which has a standard CH system with two tanks in the loft for cold water and then a hot water tank in the airing cupboard.
I want to change to a sealed combi boiler system but have got a few questions.

Will my current pipes take the new 'mains' pressure? I'm concerned that in the past I have moved pipes etc and used push fit fittings. Will these be OK?

Also...
We've got a hot/cold water pump for the shower will this have to be removed or will it work with mains water pressure as well?

Cheers,
Chris

The most likely places to spring a leak are old compression fittings, maybe tap connectors. Any new pushfit fittings you've used should be ok.

As regards the pump, it will not be needed on a combi system. Check that your mixer shower valve is compatible with a combi as some are not. Is it thermostatic? You should also check that your bathroom and kitchen taps are suitable for high pressure.
