Hi
I would like to fit a new rad into a garage conversion (currently has an elec heater). The nearest CH pipes are in the bedroom above, so I was thinking of bringing new pipes down from there through the ceiling. I don't want to be lifting up floorboards all over the place trying to find the pipes though, so I was wondering where they are likely to be in relation to the bedroom radiator?
Our house is approx 7 years old (RedRow). The radiator pipes in the bedroom go into the wall just above the top of the skirting - does this mean the pipes are installed in the wall or will they be under the floor somewhere - and if so, any idea what direction or how far away from the wall?
These might sound like stupid questions but I was wondering (and hoping) that pipework is fitted in a fairly standard way in newish houses.
Thanks in advance
Andy
