A few months back there were some strong winds and it resulted in what looks like some sort of tape coming off the underside of the roof eaves on the house. About three years ago we had the verges rebedded. Do I need to get this fixed? Looks like some kind of sealant to keep moisture out?

Looks like the mastic has fallen out, not really necessary, either get up there and chop it off or re-apply, it won't (shouldn't) make much difference either way.
