Why?
Because I'm trying find the exact replacement.
Why , you just need same size.
It's a Saracen FM, the centre gearboxes are crap and always failing, either end of the gearbox are shootbolt extensions, they join together with teeth, the extensions never fail, it'll be the gearbox

Thanks for helpful reply. I'll probably replace the shootbolt extensions as well as the cam on the bottom one had seized up with surface rust causing it and/or the gearbox to fail.
How are the shoot bolts connected to the lock do they just sit on the teeth?
The gearbox has female teeth and the extension has male teeth and they just mesh together, generally when syncing the two you fit the gearbox so when the handle is at 90° so open you then mesh the extension also in the retracted position so shootbolts fully hidden, if your replacing an extension they sometimes come fully retracted held by a plastic pin, helps you sync them then when you pull the handle down the plastic pin shears and you have free movement
