Hello,
I have a vent in the bathroom which has been broken for a while.
According to initial research online, it seems that I will need a double glaze one unit as the single one will be too small.

up to 6mm for single glazed.
I have old double windows glazed aluminum frame and I sadly believe that the width of the windows is over 6mm and closer or more to 1cm.
I have a quick glampse of the double unit type....and the price was shocking...

What do you think?
Do you think that a single glazed type can be sufficent?
Can I just buy the broken rotary fan maybe?
Any alternative suggestion?
Thanks,

I would replace the dg unit and install a vent to the wall. Always found those plastic things pretty useless.
Only cheap option would be to replace the round vent with a couple of square plastic vents siliconed to the window.

Thanks Foxhole for your comment. I am pretty newbie to diy stuff... so when you mentioned a vent to the wall, could I ask you what do you mean? what kind of vent? (any chance of a link from ebay / amazon / or Uk diy store?

when you mentioned the cheap option to replace the round vent with couple of square plastic vent, is there any chance of a picture so to see and have a better understanding of what you mean please?

Thanks,
Jeremy
