window glass replacement

Hi There

I got window glass broken in the house(first floor) and it is wooden frame.
please could you explain how to get whole window out and replace glass.
Or any other way of replacing.

If it's an opening timber window, they usually have screw hinges; remove the hinge screws & the whole opening frame should come away from the main frame. Is it double or single glazed? Putty or beading? If you need to ask, I would advise you call in a local glazier; are you not insured?

First floor window, working from ladders, not knowing what you’re doing etc. etc. could be a recipe for disaster or even a spell in hospital!
