Hi,

Am new to the world of DIY / plumbing...
We have bought a new house which has a smallish bathroom (236X145 cm)
Along the long wall there is a bath but unfortunately, above the bath taps is a window....

My problem is - how to install an overhead shower with this arrangement? is there any way?

But then it's not really overhead is it ? Plus if it's along the width of the tub, there are more chances of water splashing outside the tub....

Am wondering, are there any showers that can connect to the tub water inlet but from then on are almost freestanding ?

you can get showers that have an extended arm so showerhead is positioned over head. as you request. Pop into your local diy centre or plumbers merchant and they will show you various options. :)

how many rads, and size of rooms. It all depends on how you use your water, howmany outlets etc.

When you say 'overhead shower', does it have to come from the bath taps ?

I had an electric shower at the opposite (sloping) end of the bath at my previous house, because the tap end of my bath was below a window.

The shower was fed from a cold mains supply in the loft.
